This is a fabulous, no holds barred and very true description of the rollercoaster ride of owner managed businesses. As a champion of women in enterprise and in my eighth year of growing a PR agency www.quest-pr.com, I definitely advocate getting a mentor on board as soon as possible – great ones are worth their weight in gold. Having been a member of CEO development organisation Vistage www.vistage.co.uk for 6 years, I also run pro-bono development forums for women running small businesses where we met monthly, share our growing pains and process our issues in the trust sense of best practice. See our blog post www.questblog.com for tips on growing pains. Well done and keep moving forward – you’re doing great.
