Freebie Friday: Win with Weetabix!

weetabixFor this week’s Freebie Friday we have teamed up with Weetabix, who have just launched a new addition to their range – Weetabix Chocolate  -and we have 10 packs to give away, along with branded bowls and jute shopping bags.

The launch of Chocolate Weetabix should provide some good news to homes across the UK – a new cereal with all the goodness of wholegrain in Weetabix and the tastiness of chocolate but containing half the sugar of the average chocolate flavoured breakfast cereal.

Chocolate Weetabix is high in fibre and low in salt, fortified with vitamins and iron and free from artificial colours, putting a smile on parents’ faces as well as their kids and ensuring everyone enjoys a happier breakfast.

Sian Porter, consultant Dietician to Weetabix, said: “Sometimes family breakfasts can feel like a major challenge for parents and carers. As a mum I know what a feat it is to feed the family healthy choices and keep everyone happy. The trick is to look for ‘best in class’. If children eat chocolate cereal, then choosing a wholegrain one with the least sugar and low salt means you are striking a balance.”

We were lucky to get a chance to try the Chocolate Weetabix pre-launch and to say it was met with enthusiasm in our house would be an understatement! Both my girls like chocolate cereals so they were both keen to dig in, and straight after school they polished off 5 between them! Over the next week between them they ate them for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so a definite thumbs up from them. And from a mum’s perspective, I was pleasantly surprised that they weren’t nearly as sweet as some other chocolate cereals we have tried. Plus I always try and buy cereals containing wholegrain so they got a double thumbs up from me too.

In order to get your hands on some Chocolate Weetabix & goodie bag, just leave a comment on our blog and describe your perfect breakfast (either in terms of food, location, company – or all three!)

Competition closes at 7pm today (23rd July). Winners will be emailed directly by Monday 26th July.
