For this weeks Freebie Friday we have teamed up with Nelsons, the UK’s leading manufacturer of natural healthcare products, to give away 10 of their NEW Bach Emotional Eating Kits.
The Bach Emotional Eating Kit is a set of three 10ml flower essences to give a helping hand with diet and healthy living regimes. It is the first product available in the UK to help with emotional eating. You can create your own individual combination and adapt it to suit your changing moods. The essences are alcohol and additive free and suitable for the whole family.
The Bach™ Original Flower Essences in Bach Emotional Eating Kit are made using natural flower essences which originate from the Bach Centre and are produced according to Dr Bach’s traditional methods, which date back over 75 years
Bach Emotional Eating Kit includes the essences:
* Crab Apple – When you feel unclean or dislike something about yourself, Crab Apple can help you accept yourself and your imperfections. Self acceptance means you will be less likely to rely on food to make you feel good.
* Cherry Plum – When you fear you might lose control of your diet, Cherry Plum can help you to think and act rationally.
* Chestnut Bud – When you find yourself repeating the same dieting mistakes, Chestnut Bud can help you gain knowledge from your experience. This means you are less likely to fall into your old bad habits, for example reaching for food when things get tough.
Sandy Newbigging, Mind Detox expert and author of Life-Changing Weight Loss says: ‘To avoid having to deal with emotions such as boredom, grief, loneliness and guilt it is common for people to keep themselves busy by numbing the feelings with food.” However Sandy believes the new kit can help people take control of their emotional eating: ‘The Bach Emotional Eating Kit can give a helping hand with the various negative feelings and emotions that may be affecting your eating habits and help you make positive changes to your lifestyle’

)
I mostly comfort eat when my husband is working nights and my favourite comfort food is anything rich in refined carbs
However I am working on that as I have set myself a (rather large) weight loss target for next summer!
Txx
Favourite comfort food – pizza
When do I eat it? – watching a DVD on a weekend night
If I’m in a savoury mood then it’s an overdose of fresh bread which then makes me sleepy, otherwise it’s a bar of Lindt chocolate – usually to be had when I’m on my own, feeling a bit low.
At night or when I’m drinking. I generally need something savoury… cheese and crackers or crisps. Eek! Thank God for Velvet Crunch!!!
What a great product, I did not know you got such a thing. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I would love one of these. I comfort eat during the day by going to the cupboard & eating chocolate when no one sees or at night I’ll sit with crisps but always have to have something sweet after it.
This looks great, I always comfort eat after dinner when I am relaxing watching TV or reading a book / magazine. Crisps and crackers & cheese are my biggest vices………
If I’ve had a bad day at work then I’ll comfort eat and I always go for milk puddings, rice, tapioca, or just custard…. like mummy used to make!
I eat when the boys have wound me up & I want to scream – lovely thick slices of crusty bread with butter right up to the edges and slabs of mature cheddar, followed by custard tart, crumbly at the edges & sweet & creamy in the centre.
I tend to comfort eat most on the long winter nights
Always hot food, worst comfort food for me is Pizza, closely followed by Ice Cream.
Bad combo lol
I eat when I’m tired or stress, so usually all the time! I love homemade apple pie with custard or cheese and crackers with some lovely chutney. MMmmmmm, now off to eat!
I eat, when I’m tired, hungry, annoyed, stressed or cold which given I am a mother of four, wife of one, business owner, living in the UK is pretty much always!!
My favorite comfort food is crisps and lots of them. When im upset or sad .I go and sit outside in my garden and watch the fish swimming in there pond. I t always relaxes me.
Gosh, I’m dreadful, no willpower at all when it comes to food! Most likely to comfort eat when I’ve got a hangover!! Anything nibbly like crisps & nuts and I can eat chocolate til I’m practically sick
s
Always in the mid afternoon. 3pm ish
thanks for comp.
When work is stressing me, then I do the nursery run and the little ones are tired and grouchy, I end up raiding the bread bin (usually cake or bread of some kind in there) and the biscuit tin – usually a jaffa cake or two… or the ultimate, cheese on toast and a cuppa tea followed by a chunky slice of battenburg cake…. I could go on
chocolate and sweets! When I’m bored, tired or fed up.
I seem to comfort eat on rainy days sitting in front of the tv with a mug of cocoa
When I’m upset or if I’ve tried really hard at my diet all week and don’t see the result on the scale (ironic really!). I tend to enjoy big stodgy pasta dishes with lots of cheese, Dominos pizza or Chip Shop chips!
I tend to comfort eat when life gets the better of me. My comfort food of choice would have to be something really chocolatey and sinful, what better way to make me feel better!
When the kids are playing me up! Then I reach for the crisps and chocolate!
chocolate – at night
Biscuits, when the boys go up for their afternoon nap. I hate sharing my biscuits!!
I’m most likely to comfort eat just before bed. Cheese and crackers is the ultimate food. Especially as I’m on a diet and can’t have it at the mo
Chocolate when the kids are stressing me out.
hmmm
I love love hot buttered toast
About 10pm at night when i am feeling fed up
I mainly comfort eat when the kids are in bed and my husband goes on nights…so easily done!!
Where do I start, I comfort eat when I get in from work starving, when things go wrong (could be anything from dropping a drink on the floor to something slightly more remarkable, I’m not fussy!), when I’m on my own, which is pretty much all the time once madam is in bed, when I’m happy, you name it I comfort eat! ALL the time!
It’s usually something chocolate based, but could be toast with lashings of butter too!
I comfort eat through boredom, stress, tiredness…(the list could go on and on). Chocolate is always my fave but if there’s none about anything sweet will do!
