For this week’s Freebie Friday we have teamed up with Nelson’s Teetha to offer 1 lucky mum a Stokke Tripp Trapp Highchair.
Teething can be a difficult time for both mothers and babies. Babies who are teething can experience sore swollen gums and flushed cheeks causing them discomfort which can lead to disrupted sleep patterns. This can also be very distressing for mums as they want to help soothe their baby’s discomfort. Of course, babies cut their teeth at different times. Anything from three months to a year old is within the normal range, but teething trouble can begin months before.
Nelsons Teetha is a homeopathic remedy specially designed for the soothing and calming relief of the symptoms of teething. It is ready-dosed in a convenient granule format that simply dissolves in a baby’s mouth to ease the pain of teething. The ready-dosed sachets are easy to administer, they just need to be tipped into the baby’s mouth or spoon fed – bringing back the smile for babies and parents! It contains a 6c homeopathic potency of natural Chamomilla. If you’re concerned about your baby displaying the symptoms of teething, please seek medical attention first.
Nelsons Teetha costs £4.80 for 24 sachets and is available from Boots, Holland and Barrett, selected grocers, Lloyds pharmacies and all good independent healthfood and pharmacy stores. www.teetha.co.uk. Always read the label.
Nelsons Teetha are offering 1 lucky mum the chance to win a Stokke Tripp Trapp Highchair. Its award-winning ergonomic design brings your tot up to the correct height for any table, so they can join in with family meals as soon as weaning starts. The high chair and footrest adjust to ‘grow’ with your little one, and the Tripp Trapp can even be converted into a comfy adult seat later!

Maisie is always comforted by a hug with mummy, her comforter and bringing her duvet and pillow downstairs to the sofa to curl up and watch tv – she is 3
Maxwell is currently only comforted by breast feeding
– he is 3 weeks old
When my son was teething I used to wrap him in a blanket and rub his back. Rubbing his back always used to calm him down whether it was for teething or just for comfort.
Lisa
When my daughter is feeling sad or unwell (which is quite frequently at the moment as she has chickenpox for the 2nd time in her little life
) , we snuggle up under the big quilt on the sofa.
My daughter , me and of course Jasper – her toy cat from which she is inseperable.
We read a nice book (The Jolly Postman and The Gruffalo are her favourites!)
Just a little bit of extra attention and a few more Mummy cuddles than usual can really make a difference when a little one is feeling poorly.
A cuddle and a snuggle with mummy usually does the trick when she’s under the weather @missielizzieb
I find frozen yogurt tubes help when she’s teething but if she’s really poorly then a snuggle on the sofa with me and pooh bear does the trick.
I find my kids always like a mummys cuddle but when mummy is at work then a daddys cuddle and a blanket sat in front of the tv is just as good but ….. sometimes daddys like to have cuddles just because we can nothing better then cuddling up on sofa with three kids and a blanket watching a great film the littlest one is still a bit small but he sits snug on my lap just fine
Sitting quietly on mummy’s knee always helps. Calpol is pretty useful too!
Adding to a running theme here but they obviously work are mummy or daddy hugs and cuddles and maybe a kiss to make it all better. And if it’s really, really bad a sneaky couple of milky way stars
When my children are sad or unwell we cuddle up on the sofa or in bed and read stories. It always makes them feel better.
We used to use cold cucumbers to chew on when teething. When he is sad we play silly faces to cheer him up
its always a big cuddle together on the sofa watching there favourite dvd nothing beats a bit of TLC and and big cuddle
This varies from child to child, but one they do all appreciate…
Back Scratches!! Sounds kinda demented, but each to their own! The girls will appreciate a back stroke, but for Joey… the longer the “claws” the better.
Isabel has been suffering from night terrors recently. And the only thing that will wake her up, stop her screaming and calm her shakes… An orange. The entire thing devoured in approximately 24 seconds.
Scratching and oranges at bedtime… My kids aren’t weird, honest!
Zak loves me to cuddle him, so our cheeks touching him and rub his head very gently works every time – he is 7 months
And… As I hit send on previous message… Isabel tripped over, came over to me crying, and said… “I want an orange”.
My little guy isn’t much for hugs and cuddles. I have had to come to accept this and since he doesn’t like to to held, I put down a blanket in the living room with us and he likes to lay there and see us in the same room. He may come over and put his head in my lap so that I can stroke his hair, then go back and curl up with his blankie and dummy and I will read him a book
For Sam (age 3) a “mummy rub” will solve most things, unless he’s really ill and then a cuddle on the couch (complete with duvet). The other day I hurt my knee and 5 mins later he appeared in his doctors outfit asking if I would like a “Sam rub”. For Lily (age nearly 5 months) mummys milk will solve everything!
At 17 months my baby belle has just got her first tooth coming through so this post comes in great time for me
We have been waiting for months and months for her to get a tooth!
When BB is feeling down and a bit grumpy a puppet show always makes her giggle but for ‘non-energetic’ days the best things to cheer her up is a bath and a cuddle with mummy…she is a real water baby! x
Like almost everyone else, a cuddle always helps! My little girl (10 months) loves books so we snuggle up on the sofa and read Dear Zoo (again and again and again!)
My little one just needs a cuddle!! Oh and a leg rub and some good old fashioned one to one time!
A cuddle, standing up while rocking from side to side gently to some music or singing a favourite nursery rhyme. My eldest also has a favourtite cuddly that always helps and of course, a big kiss from Daddy or Mummy.
Elliott and William have both always liked to snuggle with me and have their heads stroked when they are under the weather. We’ve used teetha’s and they do work, but we got funny looks from grandparents at first…
It has to that ever comforting snuggle with mummy along with The Gruffalo on DVD, and (already taking after his mummy) an accompaniment of cloclate milk or cloclate cake!
Cuddles from mum – always works -wether its my 10yo, 6yo or the nine month old!
Sorry, and to add to my previous post, we’ve just been out for dinner, and Joey lost sight of me in a crowd for a good 40 seconds to a minute. He was distraught and wouldn’t eat his ice-cream because he was far too emotional. Then I got my “claws” out. Quick back scratch and all is well with the word!
